MONIC - Notes for Domain Name Registration

1. Logon your account in the MONIC website (http://www.monic.mo), select "Register Domain" from the drop down menu "Domain Management", and fill in the related information;
2. Download and print the Letter of confirmation [ DOC | PDF ], complete with organization's authorized signature and chop, and submit together with the original copy or electronic form of documents; meanwhile, please also upload the registration document of your organization from the Macao Government as attachment. (Please refer to "Required documentary of domain name registration") And, if your organization is authorizing to a third party to handle all the matters, submit the authorization letter [ DOC | PDF ] (Reference only) and send the original copy or electronic form of documents to us. The electronic submitter shall be in conformity with the qualified electronic signatures required by the existing laws of the Macao SAR.
3. Please send the (1) Original copy of Letter of confirmation [ DOC | PDF ] with organization's authorized signature and chop and original or electronic form of documents of authorization letter [ DOC | PDF ] (if necessary), (2) Copy of identification document from the signatory, (3) Copy of registration document of your organization from the Macao Government (within one year validity). Within 8 days, submit payment to the address stated below in person or by registered mail, otherwise the application will be cancelled. The electronic submitter shall be in conformity with the qualified electronic signatures required by the existing laws of the Macao SAR.

If the domain name registration meets with the requirement in the Regulation, you are requested to submit the registration fee within eight days. Prepare a cheque/bank draft payable to "Direcção dos Serviços de Correios e Telecomunicações", the registration fee for each domain name is MOP200 per year. And the bank charge for each oversea bank cheque / bank draft should be included in the payment (the amount of bank charge is subject to decision of receiving bank). Applicant can also pay by e-Payment online or visit the office and pay by CASH. Your request will be proceeded as soon as possible.

 

 

Notice: The duration of a domain name registration is valid for THREE years, the registration fee is charged on a yearly basis, and either the registration or renewal fee for one domain name a year is MOP200. From the date of the domain name registration and must submit the payment within sixty days prior the expiry; if not, the domain name will be immediately suspended for a maximum period of sixty days. After the end of the suspension period, the domain name will be cancelled with immediate effect.
